Georgia Tech Center Cyril Martynov Entering The Transfer Portal
Georgia Tech has had another player enter the transfer portal.
Just shortly after Rodney Howard entered the portal, fellow big man Cyril Martynov is heading to the portal as well. Martynov came to Georgia Tech as a freshman this season and he only played in seven games this season.
Kelly Quinlan of JacketsOnline had the news first.
Georgia Tech has been active in the transfer portal since the hiring of Damon Stoudamire as the new head coach. They got their first commitment from the portal today with NC State transfer Ebenezer Dowuona committing to the Yellow Jackets today.
Martynov had narrowed his choices down to four schools, Wisconsin, Northwestern, and Missouri being the other choices. He reclassified to the class of 2022, which was a welcome development for Georgia Tech, which is a team that needed more size, but Martynov could not find his way onto the court.
Keep an eye out for more transfer portal news that is sure to come from Atlanta this offseason.
