Report: Georgia Tech Lands NC State Transfer Ebenezer Dowuona
Georgia Tech basketball has been active in the transfer portal since the hire of new head coach Damon Stoudamire and today, they landed their first target.
According to a report from Joe Tipton at On3 Sports, NC State transfer Ebenezer Dowuona is heading to Atlanta to play for the Yellow Jackets next season. While originally from Accra, Ghana, Dowuona played his high school basketball at the Heritage School in Newnan, GA.
Last season for the Wolfpack, Dowuona averaged 1.7 PPG and 1.9 RPG in 30 games played. He averaged a little over 10 minutes played per game in the 30 games that he played this past season.
Dowuona is a 6'11 225 LBS big man, which is something that Georgia Tech has been lacking. I don't know how big of a role he is going to play next season, it could be as someone to provide depth to the frontcourt or he could challenge for a big role on this team.
Dowuona has two years of eligibility remaining.
There could be more moves made in the future in terms of the transfer portal for Georgia Tech so be sure to stay tuned.
