Kentucky came out to a hot start against the Missouri Tigers but cooled off and lost 38-21.

This game hurts since many fans thought after the fast start, the Cats might blow out the Tigers.

What can we take away from Kentucky's loss to the Missouri Tigers?

Momentum will kill you

The Cats had all the momentum, and it looked like they were getting the football back until Missouri faked a punt and scored a touchdown. The Tigers went on to score 20 unanswered points before the Cats scored a touchdown. When a team gets the momentum in their favor, you have to find a way to get it back, and the Cats couldn't do that in this ball game.

Ray Davis is a star

Despite the loss, Ray Davis had another big ball game. He rushed 18 times for 117 yards and caught two passes for 11 yards and a score. After what we have seen on the field this season, I am convinced that Davis will be a star on Sundays. Now that Big Blue Nation knows his story, it's great to see him succeeding at his second stop in the SEC. Davis might just be the best back in the conference.

BBN showed out

The loss was painful, there is no question about that, but Big Blue Nation showed out big time. During the 14-0 run the Cats put on, that was the best atmosphere I have seen from Kroger Field so far this season. The fans make a real difference, and they did in this game until Missouri was able to score off the fake punt. Shout out to Big Blue Nation for being awesome as always.

What's next?

The Cats will have their much-needed bye week, where they will rest up before they face the Tennessee Volunteers in two weeks.
