'Competitiveness & Heart!': QB Commit Air Noland Impressed By Ohio State Peach Bowl
There were a season-best and Peach Bowl-record 22.4 million viewers watching the Ohio State Buckeyes' 42-41 last-second defeat to the eventual national champion Georgia Bulldogs.
One of those viewers was Ohio State class of 2024 quarterback commit Prentiss "Air" Noland, and there were some impressions of the loss left on him which he shared at the Elite 11 Regional in Atlanta.
"Ohio State is willing to compete, even if it's the best in the country or the worst in the country," Noland said. "I seen them competing at all cylinders, be very physical with Georgia. Not many schools could be physical with Georgia, compete with Georgia. I feel like Ohio State was the only school that really had done that that year."
A big reason why the Buckeyes were in position to win that game was because of the heroic effort of former quarterback C.J. Stroud who used not only his arm, but his legs to will them down the field.
Stroud completed 23 of his 34 passes, threw for 348 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions, adding 34 yards on the ground — 27 of which came on one run on Ohio State's final drive.
"I just saw a lot of competitiveness and a lot of heart from C.J. Stroud," Noland said.
