Remaining Targets On South Carolina's Recruiting Board

South Carolina's Football program has plenty of prospects still on their recruiting board as we near the home stretch of the Summer.

With just around two weeks to go until fall camp, it's time to go back and take a look at the recruiting board for South Carolina's Football program and see which uncommitted targets remain. With the increased acceleration of decision timelines that come from these high school prospects, fewer and fewer recruiting battles carry out into the Fall, but that doesn't mean there aren't still some big targets remaining on the Gamecocks' board.

RB Daniel Hill

Running back prospect out of Mississippi who last went to South Carolina for an official visit on the weekend of June 23rd through the 25th. Hill plans to make his decision on August 23rd and seems to be down to both South Carolina and Alabama.

DB Jalewis Solomon

Labeled as an athlete out of Georgia, Solomon is down to South Carolina and Florida State as he nears his August 5th commitment date. While the Seminoles got the latest visit from Jalewis, South Carolina will be hosting Solomon during their cookout event on July 28th, which could cause this recruitment to be a literal coin-flip at the end.

Edge Dylan Stewart

Arguably the most notable name left on the board, the five-star edge rusher, was last in Columbia on June 23rd through the 25th. South Carolina is battling the Ohio State Buckeyes in this one, with the Georgia Bulldogs lurking in the background. The Gamecocks could see Stewart return to Columbia for their Summer cookout event later this month, a visit that would be huge for Shane Beamer and his staff.

WR Jonathan Paylor

A wide receiver prospect out of North Carolina, the Gamecocks have been the leader in this recruitment for the longest time. However, the in-state NC State Wolfpack shouldn't be counted out in this race, which could end sometime before this football season begins.

DT Liam Andrews

A two-way lineman prospect who South Carolina is recruiting as a defensive lineman, Andrews has visited Columbia twice in the calendar year, one of them being an official visit on June 16th-18th. However, Andrews has kept things close to the vest, and therefore, no one seems to have a solid clue as to which team leads or when Liam will make his final decision.

Edge KingJoseph Edwards

The Georgia pass rusher recently made it known that South Carolina leads at this point in his recruitment. Likely taking more visits in the Fall, this one also has no set commitment timeline.
