BREAKING: Gamecock Target Jonathan Paylor Alters Commitment Date

South Carolina Football target Jonathan Paylor has pushed back his original commitment date of July 28th to early August.

South Carolina's Football staff has multiple important targets that remain on their board at this point in the 2024 recruiting cycle; targets that possess loads of talent, come from fertile recruiting grounds and could help the Gamecocks at particular positions of need. When it comes to the pecking order of these players, there's few that rank higher than Hugh M. Cummings School product Jonathan Paylor.

Paylor and South Carolina have long conveyed mutual interest between one another, and in-state programs like NC State and North Carolina have also made their push at certain points in this recruitment. However, it appears that Paylor is ready for this ordeal to come to an end, as he has set his new commitment date for August 5th, after originally stating that he would be committing on July 28th.

Paylor's most recent recruiting trip was to Columbia for an official visit on the weekend of June 23rd through the 25th, but the NC State Wolfpack haven't let up at all in their efforts to keep the North Carolina native home. This one is sure to come down to the wire as we near Jonathan's decision date.
