Concession Food Item of the Week: The Carolina and Rutgers Dogs
This week is a Concession Food Item Double-Header! Rutgers faces off against North Carolina in the Quick Lane bowl this Friday, and fans of football and food can rejoice at the special hot dogs created by Levy Restaurants for the game.
WHAT IS THIS WITCHCRAFT?: The Rutgers and Carolina Dogs
WHO HATH WROUGHT THIS MONSTROSITY?: Ford Field, home of this week’s Quick Lane Bowl
WHAT COMPRISES SUCH A THING?: The Carolina Dog is a juicy hot dog topped with house-smoked pulled pork and Carolina-style BBQ sauce, and the Rutgers Dog is a savory dog topped with roasted potatoes, sautéed onions, and peppers.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?: Each dog is $7.50. Well worth the cost of tuition.
HOW MANY CALORIES WE TALKIN’?: Roughly 900 calories per dog. Thank goodness it's sweater season.
WHAT IF I CAN’T PICK JUST ONE?: Have both! Just because you hate your opponent’s football team doesn’t mean you have to hate their delicious food.
