WATCH: Austin Riley and Matt Olson hit back to back doubles to run it up on Miami late

The Atlanta Braves continue to run up the score on the Marlins late

Atlanta exploded for six runs in the first inning of today's game against Miami, knocking Eury Perez from the game.

But Miami's bullpen did a decent job of keeping Atlanta's bats at bay, with the Braves only having one baserunner in the 2nd through 7th innings, thanks to a 3rd inning walk by Eddie Rosario.

Atlanta broke those bats back out in the 8th inning and extended the lead.

Facing new reliever Steven Okert, Austin Riley doubled to left on the first pitch he saw, an elevated fastball.

Matt Olson promptly took a 1-0 slider and launched it to right, coming off the bat at 103.2 mph for a RBI double, scoring Riley from 2nd.

It's been a good game for Atlanta's corner infielders, who combined for four hits (two doubles) with three runs scored and a RBI. Perfect timing, too, as MLB is set to announce the All-Star Game backups and pitching staff on Sunday night and both men narrowly lost the fan voting to Freddie Freeman of the Dodgers and Nolan Arenado of the Cardinals, respectively.

Atlanta is up 7-0 as they head to the top of the 9th.
