Tyler Boyd on Bengals Signing Former Chiefs Tackle Orlando Brown Jr.: 'Yeah, We One-Upped Y'all'

Cincinnati further solidified its offensive line this offseason.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals signed Orlando Brown Jr. after his stint with the Chiefs over the past few years and wide receiver Tyler Boyd was excited to "one up" the rival a little bit.

Boyd commented on the signing during his return to the team on Tuesday.

"We have a nice little rivalry with the Chiefs," Boyd said. "To see him come over. And I was like, 'Yeah, we one-upped y'all." but at the end of the day, he's a great player, no matter where he went. He's probably one of the best at his position, you know, and just adding him to what we got already. You know, it's gonna allow Joe (Burrow) to have more time, and it's gonna give us the will to put up those points, you know, so I'm just happy to have him."

It's not saying much, but Cincinnati now has the best collection of blocking talent they've sported during the Burrow era. How it all shakes out with the right tackle position is the biggest question.

Brown is bringing the test cheat sheet to the left side of that equation in 2023.
