Video Proof: Why Joe Burrow Flexing Right Hand Prior to Bengals-Ravens Doesn't Mean He Was Hurt

The NFL's investigation continues.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — The Bengals might've submitted "hours of footage" to the NFL to prove that Joe Burrow wasn't dealing with a wrist/hand injury prior to Cincinnati's Week 11 loss to Baltimore, but don't tell that to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

Florio posted an article reacting to a video that was posted by WJZ-TV in Baltimore. Burrow was flexing his hand during warmups.

It didn't take long for me to find a video of Burrow doing a similar motion as he was warming up ahead of the Bengals practice on Thursday, Oct. 12. In fact, it's something Burrow has done throughout his career.

The Bengals haven't hesitated to list Burrow on the injury report in the past. He's been on the injury report for various injuries, including a throat issue, his knee and calf.

Why lie about a hand issue that didn't prevent him from throwing passes or limit him in any way? Burrow and the Bengals had a 10-7 lead when he left the game against the Ravens.

Burrow suffered a torn ligament in his right wrist during the Bengals' Thursday night loss to the Ravens. He underwent successful surgery on Monday. The NFL launched an investigation after Burrow was spotted with a compression sleeve on his right hand while walking off of the Bengals' flight to Baltimore.

"This is a completely different thing," Burrow said.
