Where to Watch: Browns HOF Game Against Jets

A little tale of the tape prior to the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns kicking off the 2023 preseason.

At last, football season is here. Well, in a way at least. It’s the preseason opener for the NFL, as the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets will take part in the Pro Football Hall of Fame game.

It’s going to be a toasty 86 degrees in Canton today and a little cooler than that around game time. That’s certainly not football weather but who cares, we’re getting football.

The hall of fame game is the ultimate dress rehearsal of the preseason. There’s doubt that a starter won’t touch the field and that’s the way it should be. Both of these teams will now have four exhibition games, compared to the rest of the NFL having three.

There will be no Aaron Rodgers and there will be no Deshaun Watson, that matchup will happen late in the season. It’s going to be Kellen Mond and Zach Wilson starting for their respective teams.

Today will be all about seeing the young players out there against a team other than their own. Perhaps some rookies will see some snaps and plenty of roster hopefuls will be hovering around.
