NFL Analysts Place the Cleveland Browns Front Office High in Rankings

Cleveland Browns front office led by GM Andrew Berry is well thought of by many around the league.

Cleveland Browns have been praised quite a bit the last few days by national media and those who don’t cover the team on a daily basis. Rightfully so, with the offseason the Browns have put together to try to climb into the mix in the AFC.

NFL analysts Kevin Cole and Ben Baldwin ranked the top front offices around the league and the Browns landed in an interesting spot for both.

Cleveland came in at the fourth spot for both, especially after the offseason they’ve had, Andrew Berry is well-respected around the NFL. The trade for QB Deshaun Watson may cast a dark cloud over the team for the off-the-field stuff but it has the chance to make sense on the field this season. Cleveland needs Watson to bounce back and be the best version of himself.

Baldwin picked the Eagles as the top front office in the league, which is a fair ranking with the work that GM Howie Roseman has done. Berry has a past of working with Roseman in Philadelphia, they often go about things the same way.

Things haven’t always been sunshine and roses for past Browns’ front offices. This is a franchise that has done a ton of losing, that can’t be overstated. But to think where the Browns front office is now, it has come a long way.

Baldwin pointed out the moves for Cleveland to squire DE Za’Darius Smith and WR Elijah Moore this offseason included pick swaps. The Browns haven’t had a ton of early draft capital lately due to trades they have made, but they are getting good value on paper.

The second and third-ranked front offices for Baldwin were the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens.

Cleveland went out and overhauled their defensive line this season, as well as the defense in a while, including the coordinator. Bringing in Jim Schwartz could prove to be as important as any move that Cleveland has made this offseason.

In the end, the game is going to have to be played out on the field, all 17 of them. The ball will be in HC Kevin Stefanski’s court to get the most out of the team that Berry has put together. At this point, the Browns front office is executing their job at a very high level and others are noticing.
