Browns Sign More Offensive Line Depth Following the NFL Draft

Colby Gossett is back in a Browns uniform.

Cleveland Browns announced an addition to their roster on Wednesday with the signing of a guard. The team signed Colby Gossett to a deal and you may recognize him from the time he spent with the Browns just a few years ago.

After being selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Gossett spent most of the 2019 season with the Browns practice squad.

Gossett played in 17 games for the Atlanta Falcons last season, including four starts. Over the last two seasons, he has made a total of five starts with the Falcons organization.

Over the course of his career, Gossett has played in 36 games over three seasons of on-field action.

For the Browns, Gossett provides a body that will battle to make the team on the interior part of the offensive line. Behind starters, Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller, Cleveland has Michael Dunn, Drew Forbes, Wes Martin, and Dawson Deaton.

Gossett is 27 years old and 6-foot-5 and 311 pounds.

This move comes as the first signing for the Browns following the NFL Draft.
