Browns Agree to Three-Year Deal with DE Ogbo Okoronkwo
Cleveland Browns have landed an edge rusher, the first player they've signed from a new team in today's tampering period. Cleveland is in agreement with edge rusher Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, formerly of the Houston Texans.
Okoronkwo recorded five sacks with the Texans last year in eight starts. Coming to Cleveland, Okoronkwo will be viewed as a depth pass rusher. A former fifth-round pick of the Los Angeles Rams in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Through 50 games, Okoronkwo has made just eight starts. There's no reason to see Okoronkwo as a plan to play opposite Myles Garrett, but he can provide nice depth with the likes of Alex Wright, Isaiah Thomas, and potentially a rookie.
It is noted to be a three-year deal worth $19 million for Okoronkwo, with an upside of $22 million. At last, the Browns have become active five hours into the tampering period.
