Former Cleveland Browns cornerback Terrance Mitchell is on the move again, as he signed with the San Francisco 49ers.

Journeyman cornerback Terrance Mitchell is set to join his seventh team in the NFL. The former member of the Cleveland Browns signed a one-year deal to join the San Francisco 49ers, per a release from the 49ers.

Mitchell was a dependable cornerback for the Browns for the most part during his time with the team from 2018-2020. He started 27 of the 39 games he played with the team and had two interceptions and five forced fumbles.

Prior to joining the Browns, Mitchell played two years with the Kansas City Chiefs. During the 2017 season, Mitchell saw his most productive year with four interceptions. Mitchell was a seventh-round pick to the Dallas Cowboys in the 2014 NFL Draft and played in three games before being cut and joining the Chicago Bears.

Last season, Mitchell played in 11 total games with the Tennessee Titans. He made one interception and one forced fumble.

Signing with the 49ers is another opportunity for Mitchell, who has had a pretty nice career at 31 years old. The former Browns’ defensive back is joining a good defense on the west coast.
