Jets Make Decision on Starters Playing Against Browns Next Week /

New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh has made his choice on whether or not his starters will play in the Pro Football Hall of Fame game against the Cleveland Browns.

During a press conference, Saleh released that it will be quarterback Zach Wilson starting for the Jets. So, the debut of Aaron Rodgers will have to wait a bit longer. Along with the quarterback position, Saleh said the starters will not play as a whole.

Cleveland has not decided whether or not the Browns will play starters, though the expectation is they will follow suit with the Jets. Stefanski said on Sunday that the Browns will play rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson plenty.

With the number of injuries that have piled up in past years in meaningless exhibition games, it is no surprise that neither team likely won’t play starters.

The two teams will play on Thursday, August 3, in Canton, Ohio at 8 p.m. The game will be played on NBC.
