PFF is Quite low on the Browns in Wide Receiver Room Rankings

Cleveland Browns wide receiver room is one many aren’t high on, therefore they’ll have to let the play on the field turn heads this season.

Cleveland Browns made some additions to the wide receiver room this offseason that should lead to improvements on the field. Despite that, Pro Football Focus is not very high on them at all.

In their rankings of wide receiver rooms around the NFL, PFF has the Browns ranked at No. 22 in the league. That is last in the AFC North as the Cincinnati Bengals (1st), Baltimore Ravens (15th), and Pittsburgh Steelers (18th) are all ahead of them.

PFF has concerns for the wideout room past Amari Cooper, which is questionable at best. Donovan Peoples-Jones has improved every season and recorded 839 receiving yards last season. They added Elijah Moore who could pair with Peoples-Jones and could provide a nice 2/3 combo.

Tight end David Njoku is a lot like a receiver at times. He’s fast, can lineup all over, and is a threat after the catch.

Moore didn’t live up to the hype with the New York Jets after a nice rookie season but he could benefit from a change of scenery and consistent quarterback play. Both of those very well could happen in Cleveland.

Browns' wide receiver room could continue to be overlooked until they show it out on the field. Adding Cedric Tillman is exciting but he won’t be relied on a ton as a rookie, at least that is the expectation. David Bell is another young wideout that should take a step forward.

Being ranked No. 22 is pretty low but in terms of what has been shown, it becomes a little more understandable. If Cooper can provide another 1,000-yard season and Moore and DPJ provide a nice 2-3 punch, the Browns will have no complaints.
