CINCINNATI — Alec Pierce could have a big role with the Indianapolis Colts, but it won't be in the graphics department. The team revealed Pierce's attempt at drawing the team logo.

Regardless of his painting talents, Pierce is expected to have a significant impact. So much so that The Athletic's Nate Tice thinks he's a player that should've gone in the first round.

"If No. 61 overall pick Drake Jackson plays to the potential he showed early at USC," Tice wrote. "Then the defensive line factory known as the San Francisco 49ers could have other teams kicking themselves for not taking a chance on his traits.

"Colt wide receiver Alec Pierce, a second-round pick, is another player who comes to mind here. He became increasingly polished throughout his final year in college, and his outstanding athletic traits could result in even more rapid improvement as a rookie. The 6-foot-3, 211-pound Pierce is dominant in jump-ball situations and is a willing blocker. Matt Ryan might start pushing the ball to Pierce in his preferred intermediate-range and in the red zone, leading to plenty of opportunities for Pierce to showcase his athleticism."

Of the nine Bearcats draft picks this past spring, Pierce and Ahmad Gardner figure to have the biggest early impact in the league as rookies.
