Bearcats Land Preferred Walk-On Commitment from 2022 Tight End Jesse Meyer

The Coldwater High School product had scholarship opportunities but wanted to chase a bigger stage.

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats secured a preferred walk-on commitment from tight end Jesse Meyer on Friday. The 6-foot-4 athlete enters a tight end room as the tenth current member, with Leonard Taylor and Josh Whyle's NFL decisions pending.

The Coldwater High School athlete posted 43 catches for 771 yards and 7 touchdowns at tight end during his senior campaign. He was also an All-State punter in 2020 and earned All-Conference honors at the position in 2021.

Cincinnati already has an entrenched punter in freshman Mason Fletcher, but Meyer could be called on in a pinch. Check out his senior year highlights here.
