Three-star center Cole Kirouac commits to Georgia Tech
Damon Stoudamire and Georgia Tech have added their second commitment to their 2024 class.
Nearly a week after landing Jaeden Mustaf, one of the top players in the country in the 2024 class, Georgia Tech got a commitment from three-star center Cole Kirouac. Kirouac is an in-state prospect that plays at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire but is originally from Cumming (GA). He also has offers from Georgia, Georgia State, Missouri, and Wyoming among others.
Kirouac is a 6'11 190 LBS center prospect who is ranked as the 28th-best center by 247Sports. I think it is likely that he will take time to develop, but he is an intriguing prospect with an upside for the future.
When he was first hired, Stoudamire talked about the importance of recruiting at Georgia Tech:
No.1, this is a relationship business and I have great relationships and I am dialed in and in tune to what it takes to be successful at this. So obviously, you know you have this Atlanta Metropolitan area, but you also have the rest of the country and me and the staff that I put together are going to beat the pavement to do the best we can to find the best student-athletes for here but we have a major major hub here in Atlanta and I don't think it has been tapped into the way it could be tapped into."
So far so good for the first-year head coach of the program. Mustaf and Kirouac are both good pieces for how Stoudamire wants to build his program.
