Cincinnati Reds Trade TJ Hopkins to San Francisco Giants
The Cincinnati Reds traded outfielder TJ Hopkins to the San Francisco Giants in exchange a player to be named later or cash.
Hopkins was designated for assignment when the Reds signed catcher Austin Wynns to a major league contract.
Hopkins hit seven singles in 44 at-bats lasr season. He was a ninth-round selection by the Reds in the 2019 draft. He will be entering his age 27 season.
Before he made his debut, Hopkins slashed .308/.411/.514 in 94 games at Triple-A Louisville.
