Joe Burrow Named AFC Offensive Player of the Week Following Win Over San Francisco
CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the sixth time in his career after a dominant performance against the 49ers.
Burrow completed 28 of 32 passes for 283 yards and three TDs against a defense that entered the game top-five in EPA/play allowed. Cincinnati came out on top 31-17.
The franchise player posted a career-high 87.5 completion percentage. That led all NFL passers in Week 8 and was the second highest in a game in team history (min. 20 attempts), while his 134.8 passer rating led all AFC QBs.
The old Burrow is back, and he put the entire league on notice as the Bengals got above .500 for the first time this season.
