Former Browns Pro Bowl Cornerback Lists his Toughest Matchups

Former Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden revealed who he had the toughest time with during his time in the NFL.

Back on November 9th of last year, former Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden called it a career and retired with the Browns on a one-day contract. Haden now has time to relish on his NFL career and what came of it.

On an episode of NFL Live this past week, Haden listed the top five matchups he had to guard in his career. At No. 1 to no surprise was a known headache for the Browns, Antonio Brown. In 14 games against the Browns in his career, Brown had a whopping 1,479 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns on 101 catches. In other words, Brown essentially put together an elite receiving season total against the Browns in just 14 games.

Following Brown on the list were Calvin Johnson, Odell Beckham Jr., Julio Jones, and A.J. Green. That’s two AFC North opponents in Green and Brown, that Haden had to face off twice a year for some time.

Haden was no slouch either. He was a second-team All-Pro recipient in 2013 and was named a Pro Bowl honoree twice with the Browns, three times in his career. In seven seasons with Cleveland, Haden totaled 19 interceptions. During his rookie season in 2010, Haden had a career-high six interceptions.

After seven seasons with the Browns, Haden went to the Pittsburgh Steelers for the final five years of his career. It wasn’t a move that was well accepted by Browns’ fans but after all, it is a business.

During his 12-year career, Haden ended with 29 interceptions and plenty of Sundays where he was dealt a tough matchup with the opposition's No. 1 wideout. But it was Brown who caused the most problems for the former Browns’ standout.
