CINCINNATI — The Bearcats landed nine draft picks in the NFL during this year's event, but as of today, Mel Kiper doesn't see any Bearcats worthy of a top-10 draft ranking at their position.

The head of ESPN's draft coverage had four Bearcats make his initial prospect rankings in 2022 (Ahmad Gardner, Desmond Ridder, Myjai Sanders, and Josh Whyle). This time around, the roster has plenty of work to do.

The biggest surprise snub has to be Whyle, who put up a career-high 12.8 yards per catch and tied his 2020 mark with six touchdown catches. He somehow went from the fifth-best prospect in 2022, to off the board a year later. Despite not having any drop-off in production the consensus big board agrees with Kiper.

Whyle is currently tight end No. 18 when averaging the 13 prominent big boards available for the 2023 NFL Draft.
