CINCINNATI — Sports Illustrated unveiled its first set of rankings for the 2023 football recruiting class, and Cincinnati is ranked at No. 15.

"The class after that historic playoff run is coming together as many would have expected," John Garcia wrote. "Luke Fickell's program has a massive defensive back haul already on board, littered with wins over Power Five suitors like Daeh McCullough and Amare Snowden, among others. The offensive line haul is strong, and Elite 11 Finalist Brady Drogosh could be one of the more interesting long-term developments in a loaded quarterback class nationally."

UC currently has 21 commitments in the class—with SI labeling six as "Premium Position Pledges." The Bearcats are the highest-ranked permanent Big 12 team to make the list of 25 programs.

The ranking falls right in line with the other four major recruiting services: On3 (24th), Rivals (14th), ESPN (20th), and 247Sports (18th). That leaves UC with an average spot of 18.2 nationally across all five rankings.
