Bengals OC Brian Callahan Makes it Clear Everyone Has to be Better on Offense

Cincinnati's offense has struggled this season.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — The Bengals' offense scored just 17 points in Sunday's win over the Seahawks. They've struggled for most of the season and offensive coordinator Brian Callahan wasn't shy about voicing his frustrations on Monday afternoon.

"I was on my couch last night watching on my iPad just fuming." Callahan said. "We have too many good coaches, too many good players to not play to our standard we have set for ourselves.”

Callahan met with the offense on Monday morning to review film. He pointed out mistakes made by everyone on offense—from Joe Burrow to Andrei Iosivas and Cody Ford—they know every player and coach has to be better.

"There's an accountability factor on offense at this point where nobody coaching, nobody playing, has met our standard," Callahan said. “We didn't offensively play well enough to deserve to win the game and I think everybody knows it."

The Bengals are off this week and have a 3-3 record. They travel to San Francisco to play the 49ers on Oct. 29.

Callahan made it clear that he's confident that the offense can turn it around after the bye week. Cincinnati is averaging just 16.67 points-per-game.
