Insider Weighs in on NFL's Investigation About Joe Burrow's Wrist Injury

The NFL launched their investigation on Friday morning.

CINCINNATI — The NFL is investigating the Bengals and wondering why Joe Burrow wasn't on the injury report after wearing a brace on his throwing hand prior to Thursday's game against the Ravens. 

The 26-year-old left in the second quarter and didn't return after suffering a sprained wrist. 

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network believes the sprain happened on Thursday night and that the two injuries aren't related. 

"It seems that the wrap or device or whatever he had on his hand was different from whatever injury he sustained, the sprained wrist he had in the game," Rapoport said. 

That would make sense. Players wear compression sleeves and braces all the time, especially on a short week. Burrow took every practice rep and wasn't limited before or during the game.
