Eagles Lane Johnson Lists Browns Myles Garrett High on his top Pass Rushers List
Real recognizes real they say and that’s the case when it comes to Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson naming the top pass rushers in the NFL.
On a recent episode of Richard Sherman’s podcast, Johnson named his top five pass rushers. At the top was Cleveland Browns’ great Myles Garrett. Garrett was followed up by Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby, Pittsburgh Steelers DE T.J. Watt, Dallas Cowboys DE Micah Parsons, and Demarcus Lawrence.
To this point in his career, Garrett is on a trajectory that will surely end up with him in Canton. Through six seasons, the All-Pro edge has 74.5 sacks. Garrett has missed 12 games in his career.
Out of the listed players, Garrett has been the most consistent as of late. He’s posted 16 sacks in each of the last two years, which is even more impressive when you look at the help he has last year. No other Browns player had more than the three sacks that DT Taven Bryan recorded last year. There’s a chance that Garrett could explode this year with the help the Browns have added along the defensive line.
2023 will be a chance for Garrett to add his first Defensive Player of the Year award. Though in the end, the recognition from Johnson doesn’t mean anything substantial, but it’s a nice nod from one of the best offensive linemen from this generation.
