Free Agents That Remain From the 2022 Cleveland Browns Team

A look at the free agents that remain out there and played for the Cleveland Browns during the 2022 NFL season.

As July is here and NFL training camps will be starting soon, there’s still a bunch of players that played on last year’s Cleveland Browns team that remain free agents.

All of the free agents from the 2022 team can be found below:

DE Jadeveon Clowney

S John Johnson III

S Ronnie Harrison

RB Kareem Hunt

OT Chris Hubbard

OT Joe Haeg

DE Isaac Rochell

DT Tyleler Davison

LB Deion Jones

LB Jermaine Carter

LB Dakota Allen

LB Reggie Ragland

Immediately, Clowney and Hunt stand out as guys that will soon land with a team when camp inches closer. Clowney had a down season in 2023 when he produced just two sacks in 12 games played. When he essentially quit on the team at the end of the season, it made it a no-brainer that he would not be back.

The running back market has some one-time big names on it with Ezekiel Elliott and Leonard Fournette joining Hunt. All three players will eventually get a small contract but are past their good years in the NFL, which is why they’re still available.

Cleveland flew through linebackers last year due to injury and it shows with the four listed here. After trading for Jones, he gave them some reliable play. Ragland was a signing that worked out for the most part, too. The Browns could end up bringing one of these guys back, it would not surprise.

All in all, the Browns had a decent-sized turnover in what looks like for the better. We are less than three weeks from when the Browns will start training camp, meaning the season isn’t far off at all.
