Browns LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Wants Anthony Walker Jr. Back With Team

Cleveland Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah hopes that his teammate Anthony Walker Jr. returns in free agency.
In this story:

Cleveland Browns need a middle linebacker and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah isn't shying away from who he wants to have that role. The soon to be third year linebacker took to Twitter to let everyone know that the Browns need Anthony Walker Jr. back.

Walker was the green dot on the field for the defense, calling out the defensive signals. He was off to a hot start for the Browns last year before suffering a season-ending injury just three games in. If the Browns want to bring Walker back, he would be ready to go by camp since the injury happened so early in the 2022 season.

Last year in those three games it looked like Walker was playing some of the best football of his career, then the unfortunate injury happened.

Walker has 126 tackles in 16 games with the Browns in two seasons. Prior to that, he put together 343 tackles with the Indianapolis Colts in four seasons.

Bringing Walker back would be inexpensive since he is coming off of injury. The Browns have already brought back Sione Takitaki who is recovering from an injury.

With the best MIKE off the board in free agency in Lavonte David, the Browns should bring back Walker. They'd provide themselves with a proven, inexpensive fit for their defense. Cleveland's linebacker play should improve as a whole with better defensive line play.
