Notre Dame Recruiting Roundup - March 26th

Here is the latest news from this past week from Notre Dame football recruiting

Calling this weekend a busy one for the Notre Dame staff would be a massive understatement. With spring practice now in full gear, this weekend became the first big on-campus recruiting event of the spring with many more to come.

With that excitement, the staff hosted a plethora of talented 2024 and 2025 recruits on their board. There is plenty of intel from the weekend HERE.

Some key targets that were included in the intel piece were 2024 Chicago (Ill.) St. Ignatius defensive tackle Justin Scott, 2024 Peculiar (Mo.) Raymore tight end Jaden Reddell, 2024 Roswell (Ga.) High School offensive lineman Anthonie Knapp, 2025 Geneva (Ill.) Community pass catcher Talyn Taylor, 2024 Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin cornerback Jon Mitchell, 2024 Katy (Texas) Paetow pass rusher Loghan Thomas, 2024 Chattanooga (Tenn.) McCallie School cornerback Marcellus Barnes, 2025 Green Bay (Wisc) Notre Dame De La Baie Academy legacy tight end James Flanigan, 2025 Monroe (N.C.) High School safety Jordan Young, 2025 Chicago (Ill.) Simeon defensive end Christopher Burgess, 2025 Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton tight end Ryan Ghea, 2025 Scottsdale (Ariz.) OTHER NEWS THIS WEEK

The recruiting world didn’t just stop because Notre Dame was getting ready for a major spring practice event. No, the staff continued to extend offers, develop deeper relationships with recruits and move the needle.

To get the week going, I checked in with some of the top 2025 recruits who were offered during the St. Patrick’s Day Pot of Gold event. Here’s what those recruits had to say about being a part of that event.

If Brophy College Prep in Phoenix, Arizona sounds familiar, it’s because that is the school that Freshman All American Benjamin Morrison came out of in the 2022 recruiting cycle. Fast forward to 2025, the staff is again keeping a close eye on that program, this time for standout cornerback Cree Thomas. The talented defensive back went in depth on his early relationship with Notre Dame.

Another member of the 2025 class that was extended during Pot of Gold was Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei linebacker Abduall Sanders Jr., who can do a little bit of everything for a defense. He also spoke about his recruitment and recent offer from the Irish.

Speaking of talented linebackers, 2025 Cincinnati (Oh.) Winston Woods defender Justin Hill is another recruit that Notre Dame is keeping close eyes on. As it turns out, Hill has had a high opinion of the program for some time now.

All the attention was this weekend but the recruiting visits actually started earlier this week. 2024 Roanoke (Va.) Patrick Henry standout linebacker Bodie Kahoun visited the campus on Wednesday, along with his family. Kahoun has been committed to Ohio State for lacrosse for some time but is evaluating his football options. Notre Dame checked a lot of boxes this week for him.

2024 Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst offensive tackle Andrew Sprague was set to visit campus this weekend, and did. The program already had some momentum heading into this visit, being named as one of the top schools for the talented Missouri offensive lineman.

On Friday, 2025 Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman linebacker Landon McComber made his first visit to South Bend. Saying that the visit went well would be a massive understatement.

Notre Dame also made the top six schools list for Tampa Bay (Fla.) Carrollwood Day running back Anthony Carrie. The talented runner already has an official visit set up to South Bend on June 9th through the 11th.

Keep a close eye on the site over the next couple of days for visit recaps for individual recruits. We already have recaps out for both Reddell and Young so far.
