CINCINNATI — The Reds claimed outfielder Bubba Thompson off waivers from the Twins. They also designed for assignment right-hander Levi Stoudt. 

Thompson, 25, has a .242 batting average and one home run in 92 career big league games.

This is the second time the Reds have acquired Thompson this offseason. They also added him in October, before he was DFA'd in December when they re-signed Buck Farmer.
