Cincinnati Reds Fall to Los Angeles Angels 10-6
The Reds lost to the Angels 10-6 on Tuesday afternoon.
Cincinnati struck first when Stuart Fairchild scored on a Mike Ford single in the second inning.
The Angels also got it going in the second after a double from Brandon Drury and a single from Jo Adell. Los Angeles took the lead after Zach Neto hit a two-run homer.
In the fifth inning, Livan Soto singled to score Neto and Aaron Hicks to extend the lead to 5-1. Following his single Soto was also driven in after a single from Anthony Rendon to make the score 6-1 before Reds starter Hunter Greene was pulled from the game. He finished with six strikeouts, but only lasted 4 1/3 innings and gave up eight runs in the process.
Fairchild continued his well-rounded performance with a two-RBI double. A ground out and then a two-run home run from Bubba Thompson cut the lead to 8-6 in the sixth.
Neto reached on a single and Hicks homered to put the game out of reach.
