CINCINNATI — Reds infielder Jeimer Candelario will wear No. 3, the team announced on Tuesday morning.

Cincinnati signed the veteran to a 3-year, $45 million deal with a club option for 2027.

Candelario brings proven power to the lineup and is versatile. He has experience playing both first and third base. In the past he's worn No. 7, No. 46 and No. 9.

By signing Candelario, the Reds can move Spencer Steer to the outfield full time. He split time at multiple positions last season.
