CINCINNATI — Reds legend Joey Votto is hoping to sign with a MLB team.

He made it clear that he wants to continue his playing career during an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show. There's just one problem: He hasn't received an official offer from a team.

"Just chatter. Just talk," Votto said. "No firm offer yet."

Votto appeared in 2,056 career games for the Reds, finishing with 2,135 hits, 1,365 walks, 356 home runs and 1,144 RBI. He posted a .294 batting average and a .920 OPS. He posted a .202/.314/.433 slash line in 65 games last season.

The Reds declined Votto's $20 million club option for 2024 and bought out the final year of his deal for $7 million in November.

"It's low," Votto said when asked about morale. "It's as low as it gets and at this rate I don't see it getting any better."
