CINCINNATI — Will the Reds trade Jonathan India? The former National League Rookie of the Year remains on the roster, despite an offseason filled with rumors and speculation about his future.

MLB insider Jon Morosi hinted that a deal could still happen

"You see Jonathan India as the DH. They could also move India for some additional pitching, either in the next several weeks or during the season," Morosi said while praising the Reds for their offseason moves

No one knows if they will actually trade India. They clearly value him and aren't going to give him away, which makes sense.

Morosi's comments are a reminder that the Reds and more specifically President of Baseball Operations Nick Krall has more cards to play if [and when] they're needed.

The Reds have added a lot of talent this offseason. Their pitching staff is much deeper and more proven—especially in the bullpen. They have a starting rotation that could have two new faces on it with the additions of Frankie Montas and Nick Martinez.

Despite that, more moves could be made, which is a good option to have ahead of the 2024 season.
