Report: Broncos Have not Asked Browns for Greg Newsome II in Potential Jerry Jeudy Trade

Despite reports and rumors circulating of the Denver Broncos asking for Greg Newsome II from the Browns in a Jerry Jeudy trade, it has been shot down by one reporter.

Despite reports and rumors swirling that Greg Newsome II could be shipped to Denver in a trade for wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, one report is shooting it down. The report states that the Broncos have not asked for Newsome back in a trade from Cleveland.

Denver is seeking a first-round pick for the former Alabama star, or a second-round pick and a player, multiple reports say. There was an idea that Cleveland would pair their 42nd overall pick in the upcoming draft, along with Newsome for the wide receiver.

Cleveland is without a first-round pick this year or next year due to the Deshaun Watson trade. So if they want Jeudy, they'll have to be more creative. Perhaps it will take a second-round pick and a later-round pick. But at this point, it looks like the Browns may not have to give up Newsome, a former first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
