Nick Krall Discusses Possibility of Reds Re-Signing Joey Votto
CINCINNATI — The Reds moved on from Joey Votto this offseasn and it doesn't sound like there are any plans to bring him back.
"We don't plan to bring him back as of now," Reds President of Baseball Operations Nick Krall said during an event with season ticket holders.
Votto, 40, spent 17 seasons with the Reds. The six-time All-Star and former National League MVP is a free agent for the first time in his career.
The Blue Jays have been linked to the Reds legend this offseason. Three teams were reportedly interested in signing him earlier this month, but he's still a free agent.

The Reds declined Votto's $20 million club option for 2024 and bought out the final year of his deal for $7 million in November.
